So we are excited to add another specialist to our team! Someone with the technical chops for the job, but also enjoys working with people. A key part of our success comes from the strong relationships we’ve built with our clients over the years. 

Because of the technical nature of this role, we are looking for someone with experience working in Microsoft Windows environments. This includes configuring and troubleshooting workstations and servers, along with along with a working knowledge of Active Directory. This position does not utilize coding and development experience.

What You'll Do

You’ll work closely with our entire service team and receive training and support when you need it. Here are a few things you might do on any given day:

  • Respond to client inquiries and provide technical assistance
  • Assist during server and workstation installations and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with Windows workstations and servers
  • Document incidents and solutions in a clear and concise manner
  • Work with internal teams to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues

Ideal Candidate

Here is what we’re looking for in an ideal candidate. Please don’t let this list discourage you from applying. We know everyone has gaps in their skillset and will happily train, mentor, and support our employees, if needed.

  • At least one year of experience in a help desk or IT support role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows workstations and servers
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of how a small computer network is setup and works
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, without getting overwhelmed
  • Excellent communication skills, can communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Strong roots in a customer experience field (hospitality, retail, services, etc.)
  • Desire to build and maintain relationships with anyone you interact with
  • Preference to “do things correctly,” rather than quickly

Requirements

  • Live in the Greater Des Moines Area
  • Available to work 40 hours a week. Some work occasionally needs to be performed after hours or on weekends, but is always scheduled ahead of time.
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle for transportation
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 30 lbs. of equipment
