Help Desk Technician

Grand Consulting is a small, but growing, information technology company located in Des Moines, Iowa. We provide support for clients in professional service industries such as dental, healthcare, eyecare, law, accounting, creative, and construction. We manage our clients’ digital needs including installation, maintenance, and security of the technology they need to run their businesses.

We are excited to add another member to our team in Des Moines, Iowa—a Help Desk Technician.

This person will provide support to our clients and interact directly with end-users. Experience with Windows workstations and servers is incredibly important, as well as familiarity with the Windows Active Directory stack. If you also know networking, we want to hear from you.

Above all else, the most important quality we are seeking is empathy. Typically, people call us when things aren’t going right. It’s our job to turn those situations around and make them feel glad they contacted us. We truly care about our clients and pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Hungry for knowledge and determined to improve upon their own skill set.

  • Enjoys helping people and solving problems.

  • Patient and understanding when dealing with others.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Lives in the Greater Des Moines Area.

  • Available full-time, 40 hours a week plus occasional after-hours and pre-scheduled weekend work.

  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle for transportation.

  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 30 lbs of equipment.

WHAT WE OFFER 

  • Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000 annually.
