The Opportunity

Grand Consulting has grown significantly over the past few years, but we’re ready to pursue our next level of growth. We’re looking for an Account Manager who can help us identify new business opportunities and expand our sales pipeline. Not only will this person engage with prospective clients, but they will help us maintain relationships with our existing clients.

If you enjoy speaking with business owners, learning about their business, and solving problems, this is the ideal position for you. Once we understand their needs, our team can work with you to propose possible solutions.

What You'll Do

You will work closely with the rest of our sales team, but your day-to-day responsibilities will be to:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities alongside our sales team.
  • Educate new and existing clients on the services we offer.
  • Collaborate with our Senior Account Manager to develop quotes.
  • Identify additional services or maintenance that our clients may need.
  • Represent Grand Consulting at events and build relationships throughout the community.

Ideal Candidate

This position does not require experience in the technology industry. If you genuinely enjoy working with people and solving problems for them, we can teach you the technical elements of this position. We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous sales and/or customer service experience. 
  • Excellent communication skills, can communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Natural ability to build and maintain relationships with anyone you interact with
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A very basic understanding of computer hardware and software

Compensation

  • First 6 months, base salary is $55,000 per annum.
  • From 6 to 12 months, commissions are based on 50% of 12+ month commission levels.
  • After 1 year, base salary transitions to $30,000 per annum.
  • Commission structure after 1 year:
    • 5% of net profit of existing Grand Consulting clients
    • 20% of net profit of new clients brought to Grand Consulting for the first three years
    • 100% of two months of any recurring revenue contracts paid out over the two months following the first full month of service.

Requirements

  • Live in the Greater Des Moines Area
  • Available to work 40 hours a week
  • Must work from our downtown Des Moines office
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle for transportation

While we offer flexible work-from-home options, we’ve found that communication, training, and mentorship are more effective when we collaborate in person.
